Comparison of “又” and “再” in Chinese| 辨析 “又” 和 “再”

副词“又” 和 “再”都可以放在动词前边，表示动作或情况的重复出现。

The adverbs  “又” and “再” can both be put before a verb to indicate the recurrence of an action or a situation.

“又+V.” 通常表示已发生了的重复动作和情况，“再+V.”表示还没发生的重复动作或情况。

“又+V.” usually means the recurrence has already happened.

“又” 的例句： Examples of “又”：

       Shàng gè xīng qī wǒ mǎi le yī tiáo kù zǐ ，zuó tiān yòu mǎi le yī tiáo 。

（1）上个星期我买了一条裤子，昨天又买了一条。

I bought a pair of pants last week and bought one more yesterday.

       Nǐ shàng wǔ yǐ jīng hē le yī bēi kā fēi ，xià wǔ zěn me yǒu hē le yī bēi ？

（2）你上午已经喝了一杯咖啡，下午怎么又喝了一杯？

You already have a cup of coffee, why did you drink one cup more?

      Xiǎo gāng ，nǐ qián tiān chí dào ，zuó tiān chí dào ，jīn tiān zěn me yòu chí dào le 。

（3）小刚，你前天迟到，昨天迟到，今天怎么又迟到了。

Xiao Gang, you was late the day before yesterday, late yesterday, why are you late today again?

“再 + V.” 表示还没发生的重复动作或情况。

“再 + V.” means the recurrence has not happened yet.

“再” 的例句： Examples of “再”：

      Nǐ zhī chī le yī diǎn ér fàn ，zài chī yī diǎn ér ba 。

（1）你只吃了一点儿饭，再吃一点儿吧。

You just ate a little, please have some more.

Jiā lǐ zhī yǒu yī gè miàn bāo le ，wǒ men zài mǎi yī xiē ba 。

（2）家里只有一个面包了，我们再买一些吧。

We only have a loaf of bread at home, let’s buy some more.

    Zuó tiān qù kàn le kàn ，jīn tiān yòu qù kàn le kàn ，míng tiān hái yào zài qù kàn kàn 。

（3）昨天去看了看，今天又去看了看，明天还要再去看看。

We went to view the day before yesterday, today, we are going to check it again tomorrow.

     Wǒ shàng gè xīng qī qù le nà gè zhōng guó fàn guǎn ，míng tiān xiǎng ____qù yī cì 。

（1）我上个星期去了那个中国饭馆，明天想__________去一次。

   Nǐ zěn me _____mǎi gè yī tiáo kù zǐ ？bú shì yǐ jīng yǒu yī tiáo le ma ？

（2）你怎么_____买个一条裤子？不是已经有一条了吗？

   Gāng cái wǒ qù zhǎo tā ，tā méi zài bàn gōng shì ，wǒ yī huì ér ____qù 。

（3）刚才我去找他，他没在办公室，我一会儿____去。
