Common Communication Tools of Chinese people/中国人常用的通讯工具

在中国，有两大常用的通讯工具：电话和手机。

Zài zhōng guó ，yǒu liǎng dà cháng yòng de tōng xùn gōng jù ：diàn huà hé shǒu jī 。

In China, there are mainly two kinds of communication tools—telephones and cell phones.

电话号码一般是7到8位数，比如：2027816,82304156。电话号码在不同的地区有不同的位数。但是手机号码，无论是什么地区却固定只有11位号码，比如：13576983311。因为手机号码有这么多的位数，所以在读电话号码的时候，会采取“3-4-4”的方式停顿，比如：139-0107-8866. “1”要读成“yāo”。

Diàn huà hào mǎ yī bān shì 7dào bā wèi shù ，bǐ rú ：2027816,82304156。diàn huà hào mǎ zài bù tóng de dì qū yǒu bù tóng de wèi shù 。Dàn shì shǒu jī hào mǎ ，wú lùn shì shén me dì qū què gù dìng zhī yǒu shíyī wèi hào mǎ ，bǐ rú ：13576983311。yīn wèi shǒu jī hào mǎ yǒu zhè me duō de wèi shù ，suǒ yǐ zài dú diàn huà hào mǎ de shí hòu ，huì cǎi qǔ “3-4-4”de fāng shì tíng dùn ，bǐ rú ：139-0107-8866. “1”yào dú chéng “yāo”

A telephone number usually has 7-8 digits. Forexample,2027816,82304156.Telephone numbers in different regions have different numbers of digits. Cellphone numbers, however, alwalys have 11 digits regardless of region,as in 13576983311. Since a cellphone number has many digits,it read with pauses following the pattern”3-4-4”,such as 139-0107-8866.”1” is read as”yāo” in phone number.
