1. Start with the single one.

Rome is not built in one day.

Single Chinese characters are foundation of Chinese character.

Like,日 月 木 人 目（rì yuè mù rén mù ）

Most of them can be the radicals in Chinese characters, it will help your follow-up learning.

2. Focus on the easy homophones.

Same pronunciation, different meaning.

When you are learning a single Chinese characters,find its homophones,remember them once for all.

Solve every problem once you meet them.

For example，只 知 织 支（zhī zhī zhī zhī ）

3. Pay attention to the radicals in Chinese characters.

Some radicals in Chinese characters are based on single Chinese characters,use your former learning to remember these.

As for the rest of the radicals in Chinese characters,you gotta remember them on by one.

4. Break it up.

In this phase,you are ready to learn multiple-component character.

Most multiple-component characters are made up with single Chinese characters or radicals in Chinese characters.

When you are learning a multiple-component character, try to recognize every part of it.

5. Practice

You can’t just learn how to write a Chinese character.

I said it’s a very practical and necessary tool in Chinese learning, we have to make every Chinese character counts.
