Do you like karaoke( 卡拉ok）?

If you are in China, you must have heard people say:

“晚上去唱K么？”

(let’s go to karaoke tonight)

more than just once

Yes…

Chinese people are crazy for karaoka. Unlike most of western people who like to go to clubs or pubs, Chinese people are fanatics of KTV. Since 1980s when karaoke derived from Japan and spreaded  to Taiwan,China, KTV has been the mainstream entertainment in China for a long time.

Then why…

The reason why Chinese people enthusiastic about KTV can be ascribe to our personality. The majority of Chinese are a little bit reserved and understated. We are not feel comfortable or easy to sing in front of strangers or who we are not familiar with  and KTV happens to offers us a relatively private space to enjoy singing.

So with whom..

1. With colleagues for  team building

2. With cooperators  to talk about business

3. With fellow classmates or old friends for reunion purposes

4. With new friends or family for entertainment reason
