Chinese phrase: 打包票 (dǎ bāo piào)

"打包票" literally means writing a guarantee. Chinese people usually say "打包票" (dǎ bāo piào) when they are very sure about something.

Examples: 

1. yǒu rén shuō zhè shì yì zhǒng lǎn rén de sī kǎo fāng fǎ, dàn shì wǒ gǎn dǎ bāo piào, shuō zhè jù huà de rén, běn shēn kěn dìng xiào lǜ bù gāo. 

有人说这是一种懒人的思考方法,但是我敢打包票,说这句话的人,本身肯定效率不高。

Some say it's a lazy way of thinking. But I'll bet those who say this are not efficient themselves.

2. Tā pāi zhe xiōng kǒu dǎ bāo piào, shuō yí dìng néng bāng wǒmen dìng dào zuì hǎo de lǚ guǎn.

Clapping on his chest, he guaranteed that he can reserve the best hotel for us.

3. Wǒ bù gǎn dǎ bāo piào néng yíng dé jiǎng bēi, dàn shì wǒmen yí dìng huì jìn quán lì bǐ sài de.

我不敢打包票能赢得奖杯,但是我们一定会尽全力比赛的。

I can never guarantee we will win the Cup, but we will do our best to play the game.
