Do you like Chinese food? What Chinese food do you know? In China, every local cuisine is distinctive. But generally speaking, there are eight major cuisines. Have you tasted all of them?

 

Shāndōnɡ cài xì

山东菜系

Shandong Cuisine

 

Shāndōnɡ cài xì qīnɡ dàn、bù yóu nì,yǒu yì dián ér là。Shāndōnɡ de hǎi xiān yě hěn chū mínɡ,tè bié shì pèi shànɡ yì pínɡ qīnɡ dǎo pí jiǔ,nà jiù wán měi le!

山东菜系清淡、不油腻,有一点儿辣。山东的海鲜也很出名,特别是配上一瓶

青岛啤酒,那就完美了!

Shandong cuisine is mild and not greasy but kind of spicy. Shandong seafood is also well known and would be perfect when it is accompanied by a bottle of Tsingtao Beer.

 

Sìchuān cài xì

四川菜系

Sichuan Cuisine


Rú ɡuǒ nǐ xǐ huɑn chī là,nà kě bié cuò ɡuò le Sìchuān cài!Zuì chū mínɡ de Sìchuān cài dānɡ rán shì huǒ ɡuō lā,yǒu yí jù huà zhè yànɡ shuō,“ Méi yǒu chī ɡuò Sìchuān cài de rén bú suàn shì lái ɡuò zhōnɡ ɡuó。”

如果你喜欢吃辣,那可别错过了四川菜!最出名的四川菜当然是火锅啦,有一句话这样说,“没有吃过四川菜的人不算是来过中国。”

If you like spicy food, then never miss Sichuan cuisine. And it is most famous for the hot pot. There is a saying going like this, “He or she who has never eaten Sichuan cuisine would not be accepted as having been to China.”

 

Guǎnɡdōnɡ cài xì

广东菜系

Guangdong Cuisine

Guǎnɡdōnɡ cài rè zhōnɡ chánɡ shì bù tónɡ shū cài hé ròu lèi,fēi chánɡ fēnɡ fù,yě shì zài ɡuó wài fēn bù zuì duō de zhōnɡ ɡuó cài。Dàn Guǎnɡdōnɡ cài yì bān bǐ jiào qīnɡ dàn,rú ɡuǒ nǐ xǐ huɑn chī là,kě nénɡ huì bù hé nǐ de wèi kǒu o!

广东菜热衷尝试不同蔬菜和肉类,非常丰富,也是在国外分布最多的中国菜。但广东菜一般比较清淡,如果你喜欢吃辣,可能会不合你的胃口哦!

Guangdong cuisine involves a great variety of vegetables and meat. It is also the Chinese cuisine that can be found in the most countries outside China. Generally, it is mild but may not be to your taste if you like spicy food.

 

Fújiàn cài xì

福建菜系

Fujian Cuisine

Fújiàn cài de tè diǎn jiù shì měi ɡuān,wèi dào piān tián、suān、xián,hǎi xiān yě hěn chū mínɡ!Zuì tè bié de shì tā de “ lǔ wèi ”。

福建菜的特点就是美观,味道偏甜、酸、咸,海鲜也很出名!最特别的是它的“卤味”。

Fujian cuisine is characterized by its good look. It is comparatively sweet, sour and salty. Its seafood is also quite famous. The most special is the braised food.

 

Jiānɡsū cài xì

江苏菜系

Jiangsu Cuisine


Jiānɡsū cài zhù zhònɡ bǎo chí cài de “ xiān ”,wèi dào yǒu yì dián ér tián,bǐ jiào qīnɡ dàn。

江苏菜注重保持菜的“鲜”,味道有一点儿甜,比较清淡。

Jiangsu cuisine focuses on “freshness”. It is kind of sweet and is comparatively mild.

 

Zhèjiānɡ cài xì

浙江菜系

Zhejiang Cuisine

Zhèjiānɡ cài hé jiānɡ sū cài yí yànɡ,dōu shì wèi dào yóu dián ér tián。Zhèjiānɡ shènɡ chǎn yú xiā,hái yǒu nà dào zhe mínɡ de “ dōnɡ pō ròu ” yě shì zhè jiānɡ cài。

浙江菜和江苏菜一样,都是味道有点儿甜。浙江盛产鱼虾,还有那道著名的“东坡肉”也是浙江菜。

Like Jiangsu cuisine, Zhejiang cuisine is also a little sweet. Zhejiang is abound in fishes and shrimps. The famous dish “Dongpo Pork” belongs to Zhejiang cuisine as well.

 

Húnán cài xì

湖南菜系

Hunan Cuisine

Húnán cài hé sì chuān cài yí yànɡ,là jiāo shì bì bù kě shǎo de,yǔ sì chuān cài bù tónɡ de shì,hú nán cài ɡènɡ jiā suān là。

湖南菜和四川菜一样,辣椒是必不可少的,与四川菜不同的是,湖南菜更加酸辣。

Like Sichuan cuisine, Hunan cuisine is essentially spicy. However, it is sourer and spicier.

 

ānhuī cài xì

安徽菜系

Anhui Cuisine

ānhuī cài zhù zhònɡ bǎo chí cài de yuán zhī yuán wèi,yì bān huì jiā rù huó tuǐ hé tánɡ lái tiáo wèi,wèi dào yě shí fēn bú cuò o!

安徽菜注重保持菜的原汁原味,一般会加入火腿和糖来调味,味道也十分不错哦!

Anhui cuisine stresses the original taste and flavor of food. Generally, ham and sweet would be used as seasonings. It also tastes very nice!
