How to say I miss you in Chinese

 1  Learn the intonations. First of all, you must know that there are 4 intonations in Mandarin Chinese. (There are actually 5, but the last one is not used that often).


  • The first one sounds flat like when you sing "la~".

  • 第一声是平的,就像你唱“la~”那样。

  • The second one sounds like going up, like asking something. For example, "How are you?" "I'm fine, and you?" The second "you" sounds like the second intonation for Mandarin.

  • 第二声发音时音调升上去,就像问问题一样。比如“how are you?”, “I’m fine, and you?”。第二个“you”听起来像中文中的第二声

  • The third one goes down then up. For example, "He-eh?" The first syllable goes down, the second comes up.

  • 第三声音调先下后上。比如“He-eh?”,第一个音节的音调压下去,第二个音节的音调上调。

  • The fourth one goes straight down. For example, "Hey!" "Stop!"

  • 第四声的音调直接压下去。就像“hey!” “stop!”。

2  The word for "I miss you" is written "我想你" Pronounced: Wo Shiang ni

“I miss you”的中文字是“我想你”。发音是“Wo Shiang ni”。
